Isel Park House

Isel Park House

The Isel House is the stately home of British watchmaker Thomas Marsden who arrived in New Zealand in 1842. Marsden built the house and planted a park on a portion of his 930 acres. Today, the park contains a wide variety of trees that are well into their second century. Unfortunately, we had heavy rain during our visit. I quickly walked the loop through the park but, not wanting to soak my camera gear, did not come away with any photos.
