Heading east across the southern tip of Florida on the Tamiami Trail. I stopped early one morning at the Big Cypress Bend Boardwalk. 2,500 feet of boardwalk that winds through the Fakahatchee Strand swamp, ending at an alligator pond with an observation deck.
