Rental cars are not insured for driving this road so a guided tour is the way to go. It's a dangerous road to drive. Only wide enough for one vehicle, sheer canyon drop-offs, no guard rails, and if you meet another vehicle you may have to backup several kilometers until you find a spot wide enough for the other car to pass. No thanks!
